As the climate negotiations in Copenhagen are on the verge of collapse, yesterday hundreds of people staged a walk out of the Bella Center to join the thousands who were denied entry in the effort to transform the closed-door negotiations into a People’s Assembly. The difficulty I have had in these negotiations is that Governments themselves lose this perspective. They become lost in all the numbers and the data. They also become lost in the world of politics. As different countries try to “win” the political game, they forget why we are all here.

Wow, I feel so inspired while writing this. The highlight of my day was a speech by Al Gore calling upon the world leaders to take real action for the youth of this and every generation.
